16 names so far, three free adventures each — and any child can write their own
Every book here was written by a child — not for one. In Obooga's story studio, a big, lovable monster gets stuck partway through his own story, and a kid aged 6 to 12 rescues it by making the real decisions: the setting, the invented creature, the plan, the twist, even the title. About twenty minutes later there's a finished, illustrated book with the child's name on the byline.
The stories below are free sample books, each starring a different young author, across three story worlds — a space adventure, a jungle story, and an ocean story. Read any of them straight through; they're exactly the kind of book your own child would make, and no two turn out alike.
New to the idea? These aren't personalized books, where a child's name is dropped into a story someone else wrote, and they aren't AI stories generated at a child. They're child-authored books — our guides explain the difference, and why it changes how a kid feels about writing.
